Yesterday the Chicago Bears lost to the San Diego Chargers 25-10. Chicago fans didn’t really see the game to see the Bears win, but  rather to watch rookies, how veterans have developed since last year and the new additions to the roster.

And while the fans didn’t get to see much of franchise QB Jay Cutler, Julius Peppers did play more than one series.

Peppers did help the team get some heat against the Chargers quarterback, forcing the QB to make some throws under pressure, yet Julius Peppers (or any defensive linemen in that matter) couldn’t reach the QB and get sack which probably was one of the reasons the Bears lost.

While it’s too early in the preseason, Chicago must expect that Peppers makes more plays in the next games and especially during the regular season in particular because the Bears payed a lot of money for a lot of sacks.

However the Bears fans should be patient and hopeful, because without Peppers, the defense basically the same or worse than last year.

I write for a new sports website called Sports Haze where we have a lot of talent that you might have seen in b/r, if you like the website and/or my writing you can see me writing for the Chicago Bears and theChicago Bulls
