The NFL Hates Jay Cutler: Twitter Shows League’s Disdain for Chicago Quarterback

Leave it to Twitter to show you what the rest of the league thinks about a guy.

Jay Cutler left the NFC Championship after a lackluster opening possession of the third quarter.  He didn’t seem to limp.  But he definitely didn’t look right.

Just a sampling of the tweets sent out by players across the league.  Players I might add, who were watching from home, and ya know, not in the playoffs anymore:

“Kneegate in Chicago” —Anthony Armstrong, Redskins

Hey, I think the urban meyer rule is effect right now… When the going gets tough……..QUIT. —Maurice Jones Drew

“FOX HAVEN’T SHOWED ANY TRAINERS LOOKING AT CUTLER, UMMM” Derrick Brooks

“I better see dr andrews operate live on Cutler and Collins tonight after the game on nfl network. Truth.” Deion Sanders

“Folks i never question a players injury but i do question a players heart. Truth” Deion Sanders

To question a guy’s toughness is one thing.  To question Jay Cutler’s toughness baffles my mind.  The guy took an absolute beating this entire year. Anyone who watched the Bears this season can tell you how much of a beating.

Cutler was utterly destroyed by the Giants in Week 3 and kept playing.

He’s taken brutal hits this year and gotten back up to play.

So where’s the vitriol against this guy come from?  What?  Because he demanded to be traded away from a team that hired a bad coach in Josh McDaniels? Because he’s the only player to ever do such a thing.

I’ve lived through the Grossman era.  His own teammates and most of his city hated him.  I never understood that either. But why does Jay bring this type of hatred out of people?

I’ve never met the guy, but he seems like an aloof, uncharismatic, normal dude.  The only difference is he’s kinda big, and he can throw a football really hard, really fast and very long.

He obviously couldn’t care less what you think about him. He doesn’t dress or look the part.  He doesn’t run his mouth publicly. He doesn’t go to Twitter and make mention of how much of an a-hole Deion Sanders is to his neighbors.  I know his former neighbors; they say he’s a total d-bag.

Do you think Jay Cutler cares?

No.

Do you think Jay Cutler was injured?

I do.  Apparently a lot of people don’t.

They wondered why he wasn’t limping, or why he wasn’t back in the locker room receiving treatment.  The Chicago Bears did a major disservice to him by not declaring him out with a serious knee injury.  All they’ve done is add fuel to the fire on this story—and their QB doesn’t deserve it.

The early reports are that Cutler has an MCL injury.  If this is true, I look forward to Deion Sanders publicly apologizing.

I hope someone can explain the venom thrown at this guy.

Because he really doesn’t deserve it.
