When the Chicago Bears fell from 7-3 to 8-8 last season, it was clear that there needed to be some changes around the team, but where to start? Well, it appeared as if the front office knew, firing Jerry Angelo and hiring new GM Phil Emery to take his place.
What Emery has done in the past offseason is something that has not been done in a long time, going after free agents and making trades to make the team better now, as opposed to just hoping the team you have will work out.
