- Donovan McNabb, God love him, is a fragile flower. He went down with a broken rib suffered in the Eagles’ 38-10 win over Carolina. Let the Kevin Kolb era in Philly begin. Vick cannot play until Sep. 27.
- Arizona, really? Defending NFC champs go down to San Francisco?
- Best tweet I saw today from @jemelehill: “Memo to Matt Leinart: Plz put down the Kurt Warner voodoo doll so I can get points out of Larry Fitzgerald.”
- Denver did not look as sucktastic as I expected. Although, the Bengals are not exactly an elite team.
- I still miss John Madden.
- The Giants’ D looked tough.
- Still waiting for evidence that Chicago has an offense.
- Favre looked…well, if not exactly good, certainly not bad…in the Vikes’ victory. That said, the win is due in large part to the Purple Jesus.
- Mark Sanchez looked great in the Jets’ victory over Houston. The rookie out of USC threw for 272 yards, two TDs, and one INT.
- Another good tweet courtesy of @SignalToNoise: “you replaced the Sex Cannon and the Neckbeard with the Sulk Cannon, Chicago.” #foreverandeveramen
- I truly didn’t think it was possible that someone could make the Sex Cannon look good, but somehow, Jay Cutler is managing to do just that.
That’s all for now!
-Your Gridiron Goddess
