The 2012 NFL draft is just around the corner. While the NFL playoffs are still in session, several other teams have gotten a head start on who they will be looking to pick up in this years draft.
The Chicago Bears are one of those teams who are looking to start fresh and really make a big impact on draft night. With the recent revamping of the front office, Chicago Bears fans everywhere can start talking about who the Bears are going to take in this year’s NFL Draft.
As of right now, the Bears do not have a General Manager. As soon as Jerry Angelo got the boot, the biggest concern that came to my mind was, “Who will be making the draft choices come late April?”
As most Bears fans know, Jerry Angelo has made some horrid picks throughout the years. Dan Bazuin, Michael Haynes and Jaron Gilbert. Anyone know where any of these guys are playing now? Didn’t think so.
The Bears have always given me tremendous amounts of stress come the day of the draft, but let’s hope that ends this year. Here are a couple of players I would seriously consider if I were the Bears’ GM.
I honestly feel wide receiver is the biggest need for the Chicago Bears.
Kendall Wright would be the best player available at pick No.19 for the Bears. The Bears had a pretty good offensive line last year before injuries to first-round pick Gabe Carimi and developing Left Tackle Chris Williams. Jay Cutler is in desperate need for a true No.1 wide receiver, and Kendall Wright would fill that void.
Round 1: Kendall Wright WR, Baylor
Round 2: Sean Spence, OLB, Miami
Round 3: Kevin Zeitler, G, Wisconsin
