Forget about all the drama surrounding Brandon Marshall‘s nightclub incident. He’s about to break out with a huge season for the Chicago Bears.

After all, Marshall is about to reunite with the man who helped him make a mark on the NFL in the first place.

I know that the skeptics out there are worried Marshall is bound to completely lose his mind at some point, but Jay Cutler and the Bears aren’t concerned.

Via sportsradiointerviews.com and ESPN Chicago’s “The Waddle & Silvy Show”:

I have no doubt in my mind…I’m going to keep every eye I have on him, making sure he’s doing the right thing…He’s matured. He wants to do the right thing. It’s just a shame that his past still haunts him…Brandon is still learning from them and growing, and like I said, we have a heck of a guy, a heck of a player and I think Phil [Emery] made quite a splash on Day 1 [of free agency].

Cutler and Marshall have unmistakable chemistry from their time together as Denver Broncos.

They both came into the league in 2006, but neither one was ready for prime time until the next year. Cutler and Marshall then connected 206 times for 2,590 yards and 13 touchdowns during their next two seasons together.

That’s a heck of a lot of production.

There isn’t any reason to believe they won’t match those numbers for the Bears in 2012.

Cutler, while certainly not in the same league as say Drew Brees, Tom Brady or Aaron Rodgers, is still the same gun-slinging quarterback he was with the Broncos.

Marshall’s production has gone down since departing the Broncos, but he still managed to break the 1,000-yard mark in both his seasons with the Miami Dolphins despite playing with sub-standard quarterbacks.

The biggest deterrent to their success will be whether or not the Bears get their offensive line issues resolved.

Phillip Emery has proven to be aggressive about upgrading the team, though, and I’m confident the men on the line will perform much better in 2012 than they did last season.

Marshall is about to have a monster year for the Bears. Just you wait and see.
