ESPN NFL analyst Adam Schefter has just announced Pro Bowl wide receiver Brandon Marshall has been traded from the Miami Dolphins to the Chicago Bears.
Wow! What a way to start off the NFL free agency period!
The Bears will send their 2012 third round draft pick and 2013 third round draft pick in exchange for Marshall.
Marshall will rejoin his former QB Jay Cutler and finally give Chicago the receiver they have needed for the past couple of seasons.
Chicago Bears Outlook of trade:
If I was a Chicago fan, I would be ecstatic right now. Getting a Pro Bowl receiver like Marshall for two third-rounders is an absolute steal.
He immediately improves an offense that already features star running back Matt Forte and finally allows Jay Cutler to have a No. 1 receiver.
Grade: A
Miami Dolphins Outlook of trade:
If I was a Miami fan, I would be scratching my head in disbelief right now. Marshall is a difference maker and would have made a nice combo with free agent QB targets Peyton Manning and Matt Flynn.
The only positive of this trade is two more draft picks to help revive the Dolphins, and that’s a small positive considering how good Marshall is.
Grade: D
