Chester Taylor Finds a New Home with Chicago Bears

Former Minnesota Vikings running back Chester Taylor has found a new home.

Taylor will remain in the NFC North, but he will play for the Chicago Bears.

The former Viking agreed to a four-year, $12 million contract with Chicago, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. $7 million is guaranteed in the first year.

Taylor’s contract includes a lot of front-loaded money in the upcoming uncapped year. I think the Bears signing Taylor is a good move, but he is being overpaid in my opinion.

Matt Forte and Taylor will be splitting the carrying load for the Bears next season, and this makes for a dangerous duo.

The Chicago Bears seem to be the busiest team in free agency thus far, signing Taylor and pushing hard for Julius Peppers, who took a physical for the team today.

There are still a lot of unsigned players, so we will see how it all unfolds within the next week or so.
