The Bears have tried to enhance their offense for 2012, starting with jettisoning one Mike for another—dumping Martz for Tice.
Tice’s biggest challenge is the offensive line, and the whole offense could hinge on it.
Even adding Jason Campbell doesn’t guarantee a playoff birth.
Defensively, there are two big questions. Is the secondary going to hold up to the attacks of players like Matt Stafford and Aaron Rodgers, or will it allow too many yards? The other question is whether the age of the defense finally catches up with the team. Guys like Brian Urlacher and Julius Peppers are vital to this defense and getting older. Will players like Shea McClellin prove to be the future?
If they are, the future may need to be right now.
