The Chicago Bears made one of the biggest splashes of free agency Tuesday, and they did it without signing a player. The Bears dealt the 80th pick of the 2012 draft and their 2013 third-round pick to the Miami Dolphins to reunite quarterback Jay Cutler with his No.1 wide receiver from their days together in Denver, Brandon Marshall

This should instantly change Bears picks in mock drafts everywhere, as they were widely thought to be seeking a big top-flight wideout like Notre Dame’s Michael Floyd or Georgia Tech’s Stephen Hill. Now that they have their passing game anchor, who would the Bears turn their attention to in the first?

Ohio State OT Mike AdamsThe Bears can light a prayer candle that Stanford OT Jonathan Martin falls to them, but there are too many teams ahead of them that need a left tackle. Adams has his flaws, but he’ll be better than J’marcus Webb right away, and he’s cut out to play left tackle.

Georgia OG/OT Cordy Glenn—Glenn would immediately bolster a ragtag group of guards and provide needed depth at tackle. Notice a pattern here? Jay Cutler was running for his life too often last year.

Alabama SS Mark Barron—The Bears could land the best strong safety in the draft, by a good margin. Even though he’s recovering from double hernia surgery, he might be worth the pick to plug a spot that has been a hole for a while.
