Chicago Bears Playoff Scenarios: What Must Happen After Week 15 Flop?

Now that the Green Bay Packers have won the NFC North and the Chicago Bears aren’t in the playoff picture, Jay Cutler and Co. have some work to do.

And, in all likelihood, they’ll need help from some of the teams competing with them for one of the two wild-card spots.

But what exactly needs to happen?

Good question.

I’ll attempt to make a rather complicated set of scenarios as simple as possible.

If the Bears win their final two games and finish 10-6, they’ll be in relatively good shape. Here is the help they would then need:

— The New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings to each lose one of their remaining two games.

— A Giants loss and two Seattle Seahawks losses.

— A Vikings loss and two Seattle Seahawks losses

— A Vikings loss and neither the Washington Redskins nor the Dallas Cowboys to win out.

— Two Seahawks losses and neither the Washington Redskins nor the Dallas Cowboys to win out.

Chicago could actually get in with a record of 9-7, but they’d need an abundance of help.
