Chicago Bears: Top 5 Performers in Sunday’s Victory over the St. Louis Rams

The Bears got back in the win column on Sunday, and they did it in a big way. The Monsters of the Midway demolished the St. Louis Rams 23-6.
The Bears improve their record to 2-1, and they also redeemed themselves from last week’s collapse in Green Bay.
But yesterday’s game isn’t just about getting the win, it’s also about what they did to get that victory. The Bears won yesterday’s game by playing basic, old school Chicago Bears football.
The men in blue and orange got it done with defense, the running game and a solid offensive line. The Bears didn’t need to be flashy or bold on Sunday.
They were able to put pressure on Rams quarterback Sam Bradford without blitzing. The defensive line picked up five of the Bears’ six sacks yesterday afternoon.
The defense also held the Rams to just 59 rushing yards, and every Bears defensive player recorded a tackle. Major Wright pitched in big time by taking an interception 45 yards for a touchdown.
On offense, the Bears ran for over 100 yards for the second time this season. The offensive line made room for the running game and protected Jay Cutler.
The big boys up front only allowed two sacks compared to the seven they allowed against the Packers last week.
Of course we can’t forget about Jay Cutler. He threw for almost 200 yards yesterday. He made sure that Robbie Gould was in position to make all three of his field goal attempts.
It was a good day for the Bears, and here are the five players who made the biggest difference in yesterday’s win.
