Today marked the third day in a row that Lovie Smith had the Bears practice in full pads as the crowd shrunk from Sunday’s record with the work week re-starting. Lance Briggs and Hunter Hillenmeyer both fully participated after not doing so on Sunday.
Orlando Pace appears to be fully healthy as he continues to put on a show in one-on-one pass rushing drills. Staying on the offensive line, Roberto Garza reportedly has dropped twenty pounds last season and is in phenomenal shape. He was also named amongst the top right guards in the league by The Football Scientist who use a scientific method in ranking players.
It’s been said that Jay Cutler did not look as crisp on his passes early on in practice but he made up for in the “Two Minute Drill” as he looked spectacular. Lovie Smith was quoted as saying “That’s the money part of the game…(Cutler) knows how to take us down the field.”
No exact word when Marcus Harrison (still fat) may be back on the practice field participating in team drills Saturday. Lovie Smith indicated today that Dusty Dvoracek and Anthony Adams both stated they weren’t worried about the whole situation. Tommie Harris also continues to participate in a limited roll but despite claiming he was healthy when he first arrived at camp.
Finally Matt Forte’s workload was pushed up a bit today after the Bears eased him into things fully because of a hamstring injury sustained in OTAs.
