The biggest news of the day came with defensive tackle Marcus Harrison being taken off the non-football injury list and finally practicing with the team.
Harrison is fully aware what this whole fiasco has done to him, commenting: “Lovie wants maturity from me…just move on and grow up.” It was previously speculated that Harrison would not be available until Saturday.
Former Mississippi OG Maurice Miller was at camp today taking a physical in hopes of joining this years Bears cast…only problem was that Miller failed the physical and will not be a Bear in 2009.
Danieal Manning showed a little aggression in the chippiest practice of the year so far as he threw Rashied Davis to the ground after allowing a completion. Tyler Reed and Mark Anderson also got into it a bit during a 1-on-1 pass rush drill on Tuesday.
Jerry Angelo made it clear that he is happy with the way the wide receivers are shaping up and adapting early on to Jay Cutler. From the sounds of it we will not see the Brandon Lloyd or Marty Booker types in a Bears uniform this year.
Finally, Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais has been announced as the Bears training camp facility in the summer of 2010. There was speculation that the Bears could move to Lake Forest or Romeoville but this announcement put those rumors aside.
Practice is set for noon on Wednesday, talk to you shortly after!
