The Chicago Bears have now improved to 2-0 in the preseason following a 20-19 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Penalties were the name of the game Thursday night with the Chicago Bears committing seven penalties for 65 yards. The Jaguars were even worse, committing 14 penalties for a 141 yards on the night.

After running just five offensive plays in the first quarter, Jay Cutler and the first-team offense marched down the field on a 10-play, 85 yard drive to start the second quarter.

The first-team defense showed flashes of their potential but proved that they still have some work to do if they want to improve on their poor defensive display last season.

Up next for the Chicago Bears will be the Seattle Seahawks on Friday, August 22. The defending Super Bowl champions will be the perfect test for a Bears team that has high expectations for themselves in 2014.
