The Chicago Bears scored early against the New York Jets on Monday night and came away with a 27-19 victory on Monday Night Football.
Ryan Mundy started the scoring with an interception returned for a touchdown, while the offense marched down the field for a score following a muffed punt by New York’s Jalen Saunders in the first quarter.
The running game struggled to find any rhythm, and Matt Forte finished the game with just 33 yards on 13 carries.
Defensively, the team struggled to sack Geno Smith, but they were able to apply pressure and force him into throwing two interceptions on the night, including rookie Kyle Fuller’s fourth of the season.
With the victory on Monday night, the Bears are now 2-1 and head into their Week 4 matchup against the Green Bay Packers with some momentum.
