Chicago Bears: What They Still Need Now That the NFL Draft Is Complete

The Chicago Bears filled a number of holes on their roster on draft weekend, however, there are still a couple of other areas that still need to be addressed during the offseason.
On the first day of the NFL draft, the Chicago Bears filled the defensive end position when they took Shea McClellin with the No. 19 overall pick.
In Round 2 of the NFL draft, the Chicago Bears, found their No. 2 receiver in Alshon Jeffery.
The Chicago Bears have yet to address a couple of key positions on both the offensive side of the ball and the defensive side.
Before training camp opens, here are a couple of areas where that still need to be addressed.
Offensive Line
The Chicago Bears have one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL, and to go the whole draft without selecting one offensive lineman is baffling to me.
Yes, Chris Williams and Gabe Carimi will both be coming back from injuries this season, however, no one knows how they are going to perform this season.
Gabe Carimi only has one NFL start under his belt, and nobody knows how he is going to perform this season after his knee injury last season.
Chris Williams played well when he was the starting left guard, however, he has been unable to play a complete season in the NFL.
During the offseason, the Chicago Bears, did add a backup lineman, but that’s all he will be.
Now I realize that Mike Martz was let go, and there will be a new offensive scheme in Chicago, however, Jay Cutler still needs to be kept upright, if he and Brandon Marshall want to work their magic.
After the NFL draft, the Matt Forte situation needs to be addressed.
Earlier in the offseason, the Chicago Bears provided themselves with insurance when they signed former Oakland Raider running back, Michael Bush.
Matt Forte is still one off the main pieces in the Chicago Bears offense, and the Bears need to come to some sort of agreement if they want to keep their star running back happy.
Defensive Tackle
The Chicago Bears did select a defensive end with the No. 19 overall pick in the draft, but Shea McClellin will see time at both defensive end and outside linebacker this season.
In the offseason, the Bears lost both Amobi Okoye and Anthony Adams, and the Bears would be wise to at least find a replacement for one of those players.
It never hurts to have quality depth at the defensive tackle position, and the Chicago Bears would be wise to add a veteran.
