The NFL suspended Jalen Saunders, a Chicago Bears practice-squad wide receiver, on Tuesday for four games for a violation of league policy, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
Saunders appeared in 15 games last year as a return specialist, averaging 46.3 yards on his three kick returns and 8.3 yards on 15 punt returns.
The New York Jets drafted Saunders in the fourth round in 2014, and he has since bounced around the league, spending time with the Arizona Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks, New Orleans Saints and New England Patriots before landing with the Bears in September.
Saunders has yet to make an appearance for Chicago in 2015 and has been on the practice squad/injured list since the team placed him there on Oct. 6.
