The Jared Gaither rumors are heating up once again. Two weeks removed from the NFL draft, the Baltimore Ravens minicamp was under way.

The biggest storyline of the first day?

Michael Oher taking the snaps at left tackle, while Jared Gaither moved over to the right spot.

This has been anticipated for months now, and the trigger may finally be pulled to trade Gaither, who is the final year of his contract.

On Friday, according to Adam Schefter, the Bills were highly interested in Gaither. As of now, we don’t know where the Ravens stand on trading Gaither, but have made it clear they will listen to offers.

Just a short time ago, I asked Ravens Insider Aaron Wilson if there are any new teams that could be in the running. At this point, there is no second team.

But then, it hit me.

A team that would make perfect sense for Gaither is the Chicago Bears.

The Bears have major weaknesses on the entire offensive line, and was unable to improve the squad through the draft, because of the short amount of picks.

Gaither is a top-five left tackle in the league, and is available for what seems the first team that makes an offer.

If it takes a first- or second-round pick to make the deal, maybe with a player involved as well, don’t be surprised to see it happen.

The Bears could be the dark horse, and from what we have seen during the blockbuster trades this offseason, expect anything.

Jobs are on the line in the front office in Chicago. It showed during free agency when Julius Peppers and Chester Taylor signed.

Chicago has top picks to trade again, and with the need to protect Jay Cutler, Gaither can be the answer.

He is only 24 years old, and despite his injury issues, has been one of the best in the league since joining the Ravens a few years ago.

We saw the Bears spend money this offseason, and they may have to open up the bank, as Gaither could be the newest Chicago Bear.
