Jay Cutler: Is the Chicago Bears QB Throwing O-Line Under the Bus?

It’s a shame the Bears aren’t playing in Green Bay on Sunday.
If that were the case, quarterback Jay Cutler could get himself a nice chunk of cheese to go with his latest “whine.”
Jay The Whiner was at it again this week. You’ll recall he got Ndamukonged around a little bit on Monday night. Seems his Cutlerness wasn’t happy with the fact that the Detroit Lions came up with the novel idea of rushing the passer as a defensive strategy.
You would also think Jay The Whiner would have spent some time in the video room and perhaps come up with something like this:
“Hey, coach (Mike Martz), these Lions defensive linemen are pretty young and aggressive and it looks like they really enjoy rushing the passer. How about a bunch of quick throws, two-step drops and stuff like that to frustrate them?”
Evidently, that wasn’t the plan as Jay The Whiner got banged like a bumper-car by those nasty Lions. Oh, the nerve of them!
What’s even worse is that Cutler didn’t like it.
“Mentally, it just speeds up my clock. It makes me uneasy in the pocket.”
Jay The Whiner was sacked three times, as if that’s the end of the world. In actuality, he had a pretty good game, really, he did. So what’s he griping about?
He could gripe about right tackle Frank Omiyale, who doesn’t understand the theory of a snap count and lost his job as a result. But whatever happened to supporting your teammates, even when they have a rotten game?
Maybe someone forgot to relay the message to Cutler that the Detroit Lions are simply a pretty damn good. They are undefeated, after all.
One team that is far from undefeated is Chicago’s Sunday opponent, the Minnesota Vikings.
Fortunately for the Bears, these Vikings put the “L” in lousy.
As for Cutler, maybe the pressure won’t be as bad; goodness knows we wouldn’t want Jay The Whiner getting uncomfortable in the pocket.
Perhaps he’ll stare at the game video a bit and figure out there is one guy who will surely want to get up close and personal with him on Sunday.
And that guy is Jared Allen.
Oh, heaven forbid Jared Allen may actually make Jay Cutler “uncomfortable” in the pocket.
Maybe someone should drop the info bomb on Cutler that NFL defensive linemen are actually well compensated to do just that.
Sorry, Jay.
