For those of you that watched or heard of the NFC Championship Game, you must know by now that Jay Cutler was sidelined for the entire second half with a knee injury.
We did not know the full extent of the injury, that is, of course, until now.
This morning, Jay Culter underwent an MRI on his knee to see what the full extent of his injury is.
Turns out that Cutler has a torn MCL. The MCL is a ligament that helps stabilize the knee joint. Depending on the severity of the tear, it could take up to six weeks to heal.
Many people and even current and former players criticized Cutler for leaving the game and not playing in the second half. Some had some very harsh words to say about him, and I’m sure Chicago fans have been saying much worse.
Some fans were even spotted burning his jersey outside the stadium after the game.
They feel that he let their city down, but how could he have continued?
I’m not trying to make excuses for him, but playing in the cold, with an injury like that, is not easy to do.
Well, that’s all for now guys. Comments and thoughts are always welcome below.
