The New York Jets visit the Chicago Bears in Week 15 on Sunday in a game that has playoff implications for both teams.

For the Bears, who have already clinched a playoff berth, a potential number two seed is at stake. For the Jets, a win on Sunday ensures them of a spot in the playoffs. The emotions should be running high, making the intensity burn brightly on both sides of the field.

The Jets have confirmed that QB Mark Sanchez will start the game for New York. Sanchez underwent an MRI exam Monday after taking a hard hit to the shoulder in last Sunday’s win at Pittsburgh, but it was negative.

Meanwhile, Sanchez has been less than stellar of late; with no touchdowns and four interceptions over his last three games. His counterpart in Chicago, Jay Cutler, is coming off of a fine performance against Minnesota, throwing three TD passes with one INT.

These are two very similar teams with identical records at 10-4, solid defenses and sometimes shaky offenses. But the coaches couldn’t be more different, however.

While the Bears’ Lovie Smith is stoic and even-keeled, Jets head coach Rex Ryan is outspoken and has been in the news for the wrong reasons this season.

Perhaps the most intriguing storyline coming into the game has been the “foot fetish” video that has been the subject of much discussion this week.

But the “feat” that appeals most to the Jets would be a win on the road on Sunday. but the Bears will have something to say about that before it’s all over.
