Kyle Fuller Injury: Updates on Bears CB’s Ankle and Return

Kyle Fuller‘s rookie season has already hit its first snag. The 2014 first-round draft pick left the Chicago Bears‘ preseason game Thursday night against the Jacksonville Jaguars after injuring his ankle.

The 14th overall selection has been a major bright spot for the Bears throughout training camp and the preseason. Bleacher Report’s Zach Kruse praised the rookie before the game and noted that Fuller was one of the players to watch on Thursday night:

Seeing a first-rounder go down in the preseason is never good, but considering it’s the preseason, the team may just be taking an extremely cautious approach. 

The Bears aren’t exactly desperate when it comes to their secondary, but the quicker Fuller returns, the faster he can fulfill his potential.
