The Chicago Bears have been a complete mess this season, and Matt Forte‘s been dragged down with them.
The two-time Pro Bowler entered Week 15 having rushed for a combined 32 yards over his last two games. In that respect, his performance in a 31-15 defeat to the New Orleans Saints was a rousing success.
Ben Finfer of 87.7 The Game in Chicago made light of Forte’s on-field purgatory:
As bad as things might get for Forte, you’re not going to drop him, especially for the final one or two weeks of the season, however your league handles the end of the regular season. The hope is that his receiving numbers make up for whatever drop he might have on the ground.
Ka’Deem Carey didn’t figure much in the loss, though he did make his presence felt in the passing game.
Carey shouldn’t figure in your fantasy plans until 2015, when he’ll be better positioned to take some carries and split time with Forte in the Chicago backfield.
