Evans Injured on Impressive Catch

Head coach Dirk Koetter told reporters Evans is currently in concussion protocol, per Zac Jackson of Pro Football Talk.
Evans had a fantastic debut season for Tampa Bay in 2014. The seventh overall pick caught 68 passes for 1,051 yards and 12 touchdowns with an unstable quarterback situation. He was better in many ways last season, averaging a robust 16.3 yards per reception, though he only found the end zone three times.
With the Buccaneers drafting Jameis Winston, the chemistry between the duo is essential for the team to have consistent success on offense. With Adam Humphries currently the team’s No. 2 wideout, Evans’ health is crucial because of the team’s lack of depth at wide receiver.
Injuries haven’t hampered the former Texas A&M star, though he missed one game in each of his first two seasons, so the Buccaneers should take extra precaution to ensure the 23-year-old is in top form before running him back out.
