Jay Cutler and the Chicago Bears will play NFC North rivals the Green Bay Packers in next week’s NFC Championship game.
Aaron Rodgers will take his explosive offense to Solider Field on Sunday, and the Bears defense will need to put in another great defensive effort to stop them.
The Bears offense is the key to the game, and if the good Jay Cutler shows up, the Bears could easily beat the surging Packers.
Cutler has been a walking turnover threat his entire career, and if the Packers get an early lead, the Bears will have to throw and that will increase the chances Cutler is intercepted.
Another key for the Bears is to keep Jay Cutler upright. The Chicago offensive line has been suspect at times this season, and the Packers defense has done well in the playoffs at getting to the quarterback.
Linebacker Clay Matthews has been a beast this season, racking up sacks with ease, and giving defensive coordinators headaches trying to devise a way to stop him.
The Packers secondary is playing out of this world right now. They have shut down Michael Vick and Matt Ryan in back to back weeks, on the road.
Safety Nick Collins and cornerback Charles Woodson are both pro-bowlers again, and cornerback Trammond Williams has been amazing these playoffs.
Williams interception before halftime in Saturday’s divisional game vs. Atlanta sealed the win for the Packers over the NFC’s number one seed.
The Packers have shown they can win on the road, and they are very familiar with the Bears. This will be the third time these rivals play this season, and with a trip to the Super Bowl on the line, it is sure to be another classic in the Bears-Packers rivalry.
