NFL Predictions for 2010 Season: A Look at the Chicago Bears’ O-Line

Since probably their last Super Bowl trip, the Chicago Bears have not had a quality OL for the whole season.

Last year they signed former All-Pro tackle Orlando Pace to help the team on the blind side and mentor Chris Williams.

Pace didn’t really help the team. He missed five games, and I think everybody realized that Pace should have retired instead of signing with Chicago.

Frank Omiyale didn’t do any better, as the left guard looked like he was out of place, forcing the Bears to rarely trust that side for short yardage running situations.

Another problem was that center Olin Kreutz didn’t look like the All-Pro he is, and that probably caused some (not all) turnovers.

But it looks like 2010 will be a whole different story, starting with new OL coach Mike Tice, who is someone that’s been around the league for quite a few years (he was a former OL coach and the head coach for the division rival Vikings)…
