NFL Preseason 2010: What To Watch for in Bears vs. Cardinals

It’s game three of the Chicago Bears preseason, and that is usually the best indicator of where the team is, given that its starters are expected to play more than one half of football.

Meanwhile, the last game of the preseason is usually devoted to players on the bubble, with the idea that you want your starters to avoid injury.

Recognizing that, this is the last chance for the Bears to make a stand in what has otherwise been a lackluster preseason.

Can the Bears improve on defense, especially on third down, and can the offense score in the red zone? Those are but two of the many things that Bears fans should hope to find out in this, the third game of the preseason.

We know that Brian Urlacher won’t play, and neither will Major Wright. And both are expected to be huge contributors during the regular season.

Still, this game offers a chance for Bears fans to see a little more of what to expect from the guys, even though some plays will be kept under wraps until the regular season.
