ESPN’s Adam Schefter, on Tuesday, suggested that a Terrell Owens trade to the Chicago Bears would make sense.
Schefter’s article appeared in ESPN’s Rumor Central section, and Bears fan’s are wondering what could be, or not to be. So much so, that the National Post reported at approximately 2:00 pm central, the search term “T.O. To Bears” was No. 12 on Google Trends, and climbing.
At this point it appears that Schefter’s article is pure speculation, and has no basis in reality.
The Bears could use a legitimate No. 1 wide out, but not desperately. Currently Devin Hester is the No.1 receiver, and thus far has fared well. Chicago has found another rookie weapon on the wide receiver corps with Johnny Knox.
It’s logical in theory that adding a weapon like Terrell Owens would benefit the organization. However, it’s very unlikely at this point that T.O. will land in a Bears uniform this season.
