The Chicago Bears Are Far Too Turned Up for Kyle Long to Comprehend

Does anyone know a language specialist? Preferably someone fluent in Rich Gang-inese?

I’m asking for Kyle Long, who’s having trouble keeping up with the linguistics of the locker room turn-up. The Chicago Bears’ 26-year-old tackle tweeted a video Monday of wide receiver Josh Bellamy ravaging a song in the team locker room.

In short, Long has no idea what’s going on here:

To be fair, Long was set up for failure in a number of ways, the first being Bellamy rapping like he’s in the car with the music all the way up so no one can tell he only knows every other word.

Secondly, the song in question is Peewee Longway’s “Sneekin & Geekin”—a fast, heavily twanged Southern hip-hop track. It’s not full Young Thug/Billy-Cosby-gargling-peanut-butter incomprehensible, but it’s not the easiest flow to follow.

Anyway, hang in there, Kyle.

As Young Thug himself once said, “I’m limping lies, like a baguette and this is Kony the beginning.” Can’t argue that.

Dan is on Twitter. Always sneak before you geek.
