The timing for this article could be better, I suppose, but even coming off of a very unimpressive Monday night loss to the Lions, this is still a proud organization.
And rightfully so. For the Bears are the charter NFL team, and their former owner and head coach for many years, George “Papa Bear” Halas, has his name on the NFC Championship trophy.
While the Bears haven’t won a Super Bowl since the 1985 season, this is a franchise that has an extraordinary number of great football players.
In fact, they have the most retired numbers and players enshrined in Canton.
Recognizing that, let’s take some time to honor the men that have made the Chicago Bears proud.
