Running backs are of high importance in fantasy football. Week 10 has several running backs set to explode and here are three.

LeSean McCoy

LeSean McCoy and the Philadelphia Eagles host the Arizona Cardinals. Philadelphia needs to get back to their game and that’s rushing the football. McCoy is the best running back in the NFL statistics wise, so why not feed him any chance you get? He deserves to get more touches.

Michael Vick should not be throwing the ball 38-40 times a game. When Vick throws the ball 38 times or more, Philadelphia is 0-3. The Eagles need to give the ball to their best player.

Arizona’s defense is 16th against the rush allowing 118 yards per game. McCoy will grab at least that number on Sunday, maybe more.

Maurice Jones-Drew

If one running back has owned the Indianapolis Colts in their career, it is has been Maurice Jones-Drew. He has rushed for 929 yards and 11 combined touchdowns in 10 games played against the Colts.

That’s production.

He has feasted on the inability of the Colts to stop the rush, and that is their problem this season. They are allowing 146 yards per game, 31st in the NFL.

Jones-Drew has been pretty reliable this year. He has been over 80 yards in every game but one this season.

If you are looking for consistent numbers, Jones-Drew is your guy. This just may be the week when he finally breaks out and gives you multiple touchdowns, too.

Matt Forte

For the Chicago Bears to have a successful game against the Detroit Lions, running back Matt Forte will need to play big.

Detroit’s defense has been unsuccessful on many occasions at stopping the run. Forte is one of the best dual-threat running backs in the NFL. He has grabbed over 1,200 yards of total offense. Forte will need to help Jay Cutler out in the passing game.

The Lions’ front four is one of the best defensive lines in the entire NFL, and they will be getting after Cutler at will. Forte will need to open the pass game with his run and be ready in the screen game against the Lions’ defensive line who will be rushing up field to get after Cutler.

To beat the Lions, teams need to rush the ball. Forte will get a glorious opportunity to gash them on Sunday.
